UCSD Extension, Leadership and Teamwork Program

In an effort to become a more productive team member and leader, I have started UCSD Extension’s Leadership and Teamwork certificate program. The program consists of three courses: Effective Leadership and Teamwork in the Workplace, Leadership and Teamwork Practicum, and Project Management for the Collaborative Workplace. The program runs from late September 2019 to late April 2020.

My motivation is to learn how to work in collaborative environments outside of academia. My focus is to learn how I can contribute more as a team member while assigned to a multifaceted project. I also aim to understand the leadership role in collaborative environments so I can pursue a leadership position after I complete my doctoral degree.
